Ya todos sabemos que los smartphones o teléfonos inteligentes son los celulares que ofrecen la posibilidad de instalación de programas para incrementar el procesamiento de datos y la conectividad. Pero cuanto mas tecnológicos se vuelven los celulares, mas son los riesgos y problemas que pueden tener. En la actualidad está creciendo el número de virus que esta atacando a los smartphones. Si sigue así, se estima que será el mayor problema informático del 2012.
En nuestro país hay mas de cinco millones de teléfonos inteligentes, blancos facilísimos para los piratas informáticos.
La manera en que lo hacen es muy parecida a la de las computadoras, y así también la información que obtienen. Pero además, los hackers que atacan nuestros smartphones son capaces de controlar nuestros SMS, llamadas, contactos y ¡hasta activar micrófonos que graban conversaciones cuando el teléfono no esta en uso! También puede pasar que nuestro teléfono mande SMS a otros países o a compañías donde realmente nos llegará una gran factura a fin de mes.
En los últimos seis meses el número de smartphones atacados o que no llegaron a ser víctimas del ataque se incrementó de una manera que no era esperada por nadie.
Los equipos a los que mas apuntan los hackers son los que tienen dispositivo Android, ya que son sistemas abiertos (su código de programación no es secreto). Pero de todas formas, todos estan en peligro.
Y claro, hoy en día la información mas importante de los usuarios ya no se encuentra tanto en la PC. Redes sociales, e-mails, bancos, compras online, información de empresas, etc. Información suficiente para que cualquier hacker sea tentado. Igualmente a medida que entendamos que nuestros equipos pueden ser blanco de ataques vamos a aprender a cuidarnos como debemos.
Con todo esto del tema de Megaupload, muchos se deben haber preguntado cuánto es en realidad lo que gana un hacker realizando su trabajo. ¿Vale la pena que alguien se convierta en un verdadero pirata cibernético? Vamos a ver que en realidad no todo es como nosotros nos lo imaginamos.
Un informe elaborado desde Karspersky Labs nos ofrece las cifras exactas de las acciones mas comunes que realizan los delincuentes informáticos de lo cual, muchos, viven de eso.
Acá les presento la lista de las actividades que realizan los hackers (de menor a mayor)
- Infecciones a ordenadores por medio de virus troyanos: 2,10 - Infecciones a cuentas Rapidshare y lo que era Megaupload: 7€ - Conseguir los datos de una tarjeta de crédito: 7€ - Conseguir la contraseña de una cuenta de correo de cualquier servicio: 14,50€ - Obtener el acceso a una cuenta de cualquier red social: 44€ - Robar personajes de juegos online: 108€ - Por un pasaporte clonado: 718€
Todos hemos quedado sorprendidos con esta información. Obviamente y, como en todos los rubros, hay grandes excepciones. Seguramente, como ya hemos visto los bienes, el “gordito de megaupload” es una de ellas.
I wrote about a confirmed video by a renowned hacker, Pod2g, that make untethered jailbreak on A4 based devices such as iPhone 4 possible. As a matter of fact, there are outcries from jailbreaker community that the crash issue is not yet solved even with the latest Redsn0w tool.
Let the dusts settle first before I post about a better untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4 (iOS 5.0.1) solution. While waiting for the patch up from iPhone Dev team, we already knew that Pod2g has been working out the solution for untethered jailbreak iPhone 4S on iOS 5.0.1 since he made the video. Because he has already delegated finalizing job of the jailbreak to Chronic Dev-team, he has ample time to work on iPhone 4S jailbreak.
Through his Twitter, we learned that Pod2g has made a significant progress which make public release for iPhone 4S jailbreak is possible to be made by next week. Previously, he had several issues that need to be dealt with when working on the jailbreak solution but his Twitter status proved that he managed to get around the issues.

Because iPad 2 is also an A5-based processor, we can expect the jailbreak solution to be applied on iPad 2 too as well. Some may wonder why there is no jailbreak successfully released for iPad 2 since iOS 4.3.3 update. This is due A5 processor has different architecture that render Limera1n bootrom exploit useless. It essentially means that it can’t be jailbroken in the old fashion way through bootrom level exploit.
Rumors are spreading fast that there might be a possible update of iOS 5.0.2 around the corner. It is advisable for you guys not to update to the latest iOS 5.0.2 just yet or otherwise you may not be able to jailbreak your iPhone 4S device at all.
Because the nature of Pod2g solution that doesn’t use bootrom level exploits, we may not see jailbreak tools such as pwnagetool, redsn0w or sn0wbreeze to be used to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1. This is only true if the only exploit to untethered jailbreak iPhone 4S is based on Pod2g solution.
